Wow… once again BMW builds a German “New Camaro”… I give it a “Meh”. If they force feed the next to useless DSG gearbox to buyers again I hope it flops just to prove a point. BMW needs to go back to thinking DTM, not luxo-electronanny-barge. I’ll take a TT RS (or any Audi RS/R -car for that matter). The only thing BMW has going for it these days is the 1-series M and they didn’t make enough of them. That right there is proof that they’re thinking completely backwards in my book.
If you value posing as highly as performance, then the M6 cabrio is perfect – it certainly has that ‘bling’ factor. It is a fantastic driver’s car: the awesome engine note is matched only by the astonishing pace, while handling is impressively agile. But unless you crave wind-in-the-hair motoring, there is very little to justify the £4,600 premium it carries over its M6 Coupé stablemate.
