You get what you pay for….is way I describe the general way it works to people who ask. I have owned my petrol twin cab since 2011, have taken out bush up north Queensland where it has done fairly well. Get about 700k/tank, not that great. Drives pretty well, with good breaks, reasonable turning circle, ok shocks and I find it comfortable. Handles off road well. Can pack it up for camping trip well. So overall I have been happy with the way it handles.
Sadly though I have been very disappointed with the surface rust that is creeping into all points of joining despite having their recommended “anti-corrosive” device. This is worst in the tray. I have had this buffed out once under warranty but now i am getting very frustrated dealing with the dealer up in cairns. I take the car in for warranty service, have mentioned problems, am told that I will get call to book in to fix warranty issues and never receive the call.
I have had repeating problems with eclectics, the light at dash board comes on intermittently and I have had it looked at once and “fixed”. Now it won’t engage in 4WD.
Basically, generally good car but terrible warranty follow up and terrible rust issues!
