For the money, the Canon EOS 600D is a great choice for dSLR videographers–though the cheaper Canon EOS 550D can still suffice if you don’t need the articulated LCD–and it’s a solid choice for creative still shooters. But while the image quality and general shooting performance are top-notch, if you’re upgrading to capture sports, kids or pets, the EOS 600D may not be able to keep up.

The Canon EOS 600D might not be the swankiest camera in the world but it’s a well-balanced, competitively priced digital SLR with a knack for making expert photography highly accessible.

After taking a lot of time researching about 600D and Nikon D5100, I decided to purchase 600D as my first DSLR ever. In retrospect, and of course after user play-around, I’m really happy in owning this superior product of its kind.
