I own a 50″ LG plasma (model number 50PX4RA) which is approximately 7 years old but works really well. I bought this DMR-XW 390 to replace my set top box and Panasonic DMR-EH50 dvd recorder as we are about to lose our analogue signal here.
As the new recorder has two tuners I was lead to believe that the new remote would control the old tv volume, input channel and on-off controls by use of a code but it doesn’t do any of that. So now I have to have two remotes which is something I was trying to overcome.
I guess I’ll have to buy a new panasonic tv now.
